In general am I interested in live processing from external gear while mixing down - it looks like you can only mix down using Logic internal plugins, recording the mix as automation data and with the Bounce facility subsequently replaying all of that while outputting to a stereo output file? It seems therefore that you cant mixdown live, or use external devices live in the mixdown process. to a stereo track, then save it to a new song and just bouce it?Īnother scenario for me is to route Logic Tracks through a digital mixer (O1V96) to use its EQ and Reverbs - and again I can't see how I can apply the mixer EQ to Logic Audio Tracks and Reverb 'live' when mixing down. So if something like the Finalizer can be used to affect the final mix, where in Logic do live changes of a finalizer (or any external device) go? And where does the audio output of the finalizer go? Do I route my entire mix - audio inputs of external synths/audio tracks/finalizer on insert. It looks to me that you must record all mix automation (which excludes using external devices?) prior to making a setero master through the 'bounce' process.
